The Story: Agnes, taken for granted as a suburban mother, discovers a passion for solving jigsaw puzzles which unexpectedly draws her into a new world - where her life unfolds in ways she could never have imagined.
The Review:
Kelly MacDonald is absolutely adorable and gives an incredibly captivating performance. Irrfan Khan is extremely likable in everything he does and this is no exception. Puzzle is based on the 2010 Argentine film of the same name and, while I enjoyed this film thoroughly, I was hoping for a bit more of an emotional punch. Still, it hits all the right marks and should be a crowd pleaser when it comes out in wide release.
Puzzle is an official selection of the 2018 Seattle International Film Festival.
