Brick Mansions - MiniVew

In an effort to get more reviews posted in a timely manner, I have created the "MiniView" which is a less comprehensive yet still informative version of my normal movie reviews. You'll still get the basic info and a solid recap of what I thought of the movie, I just won't go into quite as much detail.

Brick Mansions is essentially a remake of the French movie District B13 that came out in 2004. David Belle reprises the role he made famous by putting on an amazing display of Parkour which he helped pioneer. Don't know what that is? It's basically a sort of sport that is part gymnastics, part martial arts, and really fun to watch. Paul Walker takes over the other lead character Damien and Rza fills plays the main bad guy Tremaine while Catalina Denis and Ayisha Issa fill out the other primary roles.

The story itself is a sort of watered down version of the original although still entertaining. You're definitely not looking for high quality acting or dialog, but there's really nothing that I hated about the movie either. Go in with the right frame of mind and you just might have a good time watching a relatively decent action movie which also happens to be Paul Walker's final complete film before his untimely death.
