2015 Recap - Film Festivals

2015 was a big year for as I was able to provide coverage for a total of six different film festivals as well as two conventions before it was all said and done. As we gear up for what lies ahead in 2016, let's take a look back at all of those awesome memories including my "Festival Favorite" movie from each of last year's film festivals.

For Love & Broken Bones, directed and co-written by Tebogo Malope, is an official selection of the 2015 Portland Film Festival. This South African drama stars Mduduzi Mabaso, Lerato Mvelase, Desmond Dube, and introduces Mashala Letsoalo as Thabo.

Angkor's Children (PDXFF 2015) - Documentary Review

Angkor's Children is a documentary filmed in Cambodia by director Lauren Shaw and is an official selection of both the 2015 Portland Film Festival and the 2015 Seattle International Film Festival. The film focuses on young women who are using art to help affect change in a country filled with oppression thanks to the Khmer Rouge regime.

TwoOhSix Picks - Portland Film Festival


As our never ending quest for world domination continues, it is time to add another film festival to the roster of approved events. The Portland Film Festival is the biggest and most outgoing summer movie event in the Northwest and, this year, there are over 250 hours of indie films, comedies, documentaries, shorts, music videos, and more.
