The Story: As dementia engulfs her employer, a fragile home health aide begins to question her own sanity.
The Review:
I had really high hopes for this movie as it looked super creepy and potentially knock your socks off scary although it wasn't really either of those things and it ended up being a slow, uneasy slog through the land of what could have been. The story rarely makes sense and each scene is patch worked together into the next which, at times, made it difficult to follow. I will say that Aina Dumlao was impressive in the lead role although her strong effort felt out of place within the confines and limitations of the overall production.
Sanzaru is an official selection of the 2020 Slamdance Film Festival.
