Bad Moms - Movie Review

Bad Moms, written and directed by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore, lets the ladies have their turn at letting loose and leaving all their responsibilities behind. The movie features acting performanes from Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell, Kathryn Hahn, Christina Applegate, Jada Pinkett Smith, Annie Mumolo, Oona Laurence, Emjay Anthony, Clark Duke, Jay Hernandez, and Wendell Pierce.

The Review:
After a successful run with the Hangover franchise and other hilarious comedies like 21 & Over and The Change-Up, Lucas and Moore turned their sites on what women might do when given a blank page of wackiness to work with. The result we get is a legitimately funny movie that is packed full of hilarious moments and over the top shenanigans to go along with a story that holds itself together just enough to keep things flowing.

The casting for this film was pretty inspired and works out beautifully with two opposing trios of ladies who all play off of each other very nicely. Mila Kunis is the star of the show and she does a fine job in her role as a sort of grounded center to all the craziness going on around her. Kristen Bell is so funny as a straight laced and naive mom who decides it's finally time to let things loose and Kathryn Hahn really goes above and beyond as a single mom who is fearless in her search for a good time. Christina Applegate, Jada Pinkett Smith and Annie Mumolo play a team of evil PTA members who are hell bent on domination and control over every aspect of the school environment.

The Verdict:
Bad Moms is easily one of the funniest movies of the year. If you like over the top, raunchy humor and a roster full of talented women in front of the camera, then this film is definitely for you.
