Thor: The Dark World - Movie Review

The God of Thunder returns to save the day in Thor: The Dark World but an ancient evil may be too much for even the mightiest of warriors to handle on his own. Chris Hemsworth returns as the hammer wielding Avenger along with Tom Hiddleston, Natalie Portman, Kat Denning, Anthony Hopkins, and Stellan SkarsgÄrd. Alan Taylor, best known for his work in Game of Thrones, takes over the director's chair from Kenneth Branagh who originally brought Thor to the big screen.

Thor - Movie Review

For Marvel Studios, Thor is a very important movie and a critical piece of a puzzle that, when fully assembled, will culminate with The Avengers joining forces on screen in what could be the biggest super hero movie of all time. To help stack the deck, they have brought in a load of top notch talent including Natalie Portman, Anthony Hopkins, and Stellan SkarsgÄrd along with rising star Chris Hemsworth who is tasked with bringing the God of Thunder to life.

The Avengers - Movie Review

People have been waiting for this movie for years...decades even. The anticipation has been building ever since the first Iron Man movie came out and we first heard Samuel L Jackson as Sgt. Nick Fury say the words, "I'm here to talk to you about the Avenger initiative".

He wasn't just talking to Tony Stark in that post credits scene, he was talking to all of us. Now, after five movies featuring Earth's Mightiest Heroes on their own, Marvel Comics, Paramount Pictures, and writer/director Joss Whedon has given us...The Avengers.

Midnight In Paris - Movie Review

This may be surprising, but this is the first Woody Allen movie that I have ever watched. I'm sure I've missed out on some really interesting films over the years, but none of them have really looked very appealing to me. "Midnight in Paris" may not have been the best starting point to enter in to Mr. Allen's universe, but this is where my journey begins.

War Horse - Movie Review and Director Q&A

This review contains some of Steven Spielberg's thoughts and ideas regarding the making of War Horse as expressed by the director himself during a Q&A session that took place after an advanced screening of the film. I was able to jot down a few key points while sitting in the theater and incorporated them in to my review. A video clip that I filmed at the conclusion of the Q&A is also included.
