2024 was all over the place when it came to what cinemas had to offer, especially with the industry being in the middle of a very shaky transition to more and more movies being sent to streaming platforms rather than getting proper theatrical releases. To me it feels like quality has taken a back seat to quantity as these major media companies scramble to recoup investments and prove that they can sustain a profitable business model. That being said, I feel like this was the most difficult year ever to come up with ten solid entires into my year end favorites list and yet each of the ones I have chosen absolutely deserve their place.
