Horrible Bosses 2 - Movie Review

Horrible Bosses 2, directed by Sean Anders, continues the adventures of three ordinary guys who try to commit extraordinary crimes. This movie sees the return of stars Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis, Charlie Day, Jennifer Aniston, Kevin Spacey, and Jamie Foxx, along with Chris Pine and Christoph Waltz.

Nick, Kurt, and Dale (Bateman, Sudeikis, and Day) have all come to terms with the fact that they are not good at murdering their bosses so instead, they decide to go into business for themselves by inventing a product called the "Shower Buddy". After showcasing their new product on a local morning TV show, they catch the attention of billionaire businessman Bert Hanson (Waltz) and his son Rex (Pine) who decide to steal the Shower Buddy idea for themselves. This puts the trio of would be entrepreneurs in a big enough financial bind where they must consider going back to their criminal ways and decide that "kidnaping" is an acceptable solution to their problems.

If you are a fan of the first movie, you will enjoy the sequel as it is basically more of the same type of hilarious antics and wacky hi-jinks. I really like all three of the lead actors in their respective roles as there is an obvious chemistry and they play off of each other very well. The additions of Christoph Walz and Chris Pine as the film's antagonists was a great move as it was both refreshing and genuinely fun to see them let loose in a movie like this over the types of roles they are currently most known for. Of course, it's also nice to see Kevin Spacey and Jennifer Aniston return to their roles although Jamie Foxx nearly outshines everyone as his character sees a lot more screen time than in the first movie and he takes full advantage of every moment.

Honestly, there's really not a whole lot else to say about the movie other than it is really freaking funny and it would be a real waste of time to try and critique the finer details of film making in this type of picture. All you really need to know is that it is a very entertaining movie that will have you laughing pretty much all the way through.
