2012 UYBC Year in Review

2012 was the first full year of UYBC events and there was no shortage of good times that we hope people will remember for years to come. If you're not familiar with what the UYBC event series is, reading this post will definitely bring you up to speed and hopefully will encourage you to join us for future events over the coming year and beyond.

Zero Dark Thirty - Movie Review

After achieving critical success with The Hurt Locker, it would seem that Kathryn Bigelow would be an ideal candidate to direct the story of how C.I.A. operatives and a Navy SEAL team took down Osama Bin Laden. Throw in a powerhouse cast headlined by Jessica Chastain, Mark Strong, and Joel Edgerton and you have a movie that is sure to head down that same successful path.

Yelp Seattle Review of the Day!

Yelp is a great website for reading and posting reviews of businesses and also offers a great social network with fun events hosted by Yelp and its community members. Each and every day, one user-written review receives the honor of being named as the 'Review of the Day' and is featured on the front page of the website.

Today, I have the good fortune of receiving my eighth Review of the Day and below is a screen shot of this glorious moment. Thank you Yelp!

Reader Poll: 2012 Favorite Movies

2012 is officially in the books and it was yet another a great year for movies of shapes and sizes. Soon, I will be posting my "Best of 2012" lists, but for now its your turn to voice your opinion on exactly which movies you enjoyed most over the last year. Click the button below and you will be magically whisked away to our Facebook poll question!

In the past, I have created a Facebook "Question" and sent invites to all of our followers to submit their answers. Facebook recently took away the invite feature in favor of giving Page owners the option to pay cash money to promote these types of posts to the people who have already said they want to see these posts by liking the page. Thanks, Facebook!
