The Review:
The best part about this movie is that it has a really creepy vibe all the way through like something might happen at any moment to scare the crap out of you, which is why we watch horror movies, right? While I enjoyed that aspect of the movie, I wasn't completely sold on the rest of it because it's mostly just two people talking the whole time and, if that's where you're going to go with your movie, the dialog better be top notch all the way through.

There are some really great moments, shout out to the performances from both Hayley McFarland and Sharmita Bhattacharya, but I didn't feel like it was enough to keep that edge of your seat vibe intact all the way through. Both of the characters are likeable and reasonably entertaining, again thanks to strong efforts from the two leads, I just found myself having to refocus every once in a while because my mind would wander off a bit during some of the scenes.

I do like the idea of how the "dark force" goes about its business, I just think there's a different way to tell this story that could have been more entertaining. Once the third act hits, everything felt really rushed like, ok lets just finish this up and go home. The movie is only just over 90 minutes which makes me feel like a little more time could have been spent on creating a more thrilling and engaging finale.

Overall, the movie is solid with perfomances that are good but not enough to carry a story that needs something more to keep it from getting lost in the shuffle of constant releases within the horror genre. That being said, there's enough there to make it worth giving it a look at some point so give it a chance at some point.
