The Review:
So, this movie is not good. At all.

Seriously, there isn't one thing I can point to and say, yeah that was solid. Every aspect of this movie is bad from the opening moments all the way through to the end of the credits. The story is not interesting in any way which is amazing because of all the extra time and effort that went into completing the movie. There were delays and setbacks and a lot of people thought this movie would never see the light of day and quite honestly I don't believe it ever should have.

The whole movie is kind of the same thing over and over with Morbius, played by Jared Leto getting bloodthirsty and then fighting his best friend turned bad guy Milo who is brought to life by Matt Smith who apparently has said he has no idea who his character is supposed to be. The special effects are video game quality and the weird way that Morbius' powers are shown on screen makes no sense and reminds me of the Lord of the Rings movies in the moments where Frodo puts on the ring and enters that dark reality version of Middle Earth. Then it was cool, here it's just weird.

Sony continues to fail when it comes to their Marvel properties. The (not at all) Amazing Spider-Man movies are bottom of the barrel when it comes to super hero films and the two Venom movies aren't much better. I guess that's the one consistent thing is how bad their movies are and, with a whole Sony backed slice of Marvel's multiverse being built out, this train wreck is just going to keep piling up. Finally, the post credit scenes are like a poke in the eye after two hours of gut punches. They're so bad that people were laughing at how absurd they are and what they mean for the future of whatever Sony has planned for their Marvel properties.

The Verdict:
No. Just. No.
