The Nest - Movie Review

The Movie: The Nest

The Director: Sean Durkin

The Cast: Jude Law, Carrie Coon, Charlie Shotwell, Oona Roche

The Story: Life for an entrepreneur and his American family begin to take a twisted turn after moving into an English country manor.

The Review:
This movie is a whole bunch of rich, white people problems that I really couldn't care about one way or another. People living in castles, training horses, having rebellious kids who throw parties, and just a whole lot of other nonsense is what happens in this movie. I mean, who are people supposed to connect with a movie like this when the drama and emotions revolve around things hardly anyone can relate to.

I will say this. Jude Law and Carrie Coon are absolutely fantastic in this movie and might be some of the best work either of them have turned in. That being said, feel like those performances were wasted on a movie that was not interesting or engaging in any way. This is a touch one, I really wanted to like it and had heard good things about it, it just didn't hit for me on any level however I would say it's worth a look just for the acting from Coon and Law.
