The Review:
The horror anthology has become a genre unto itself with series like V/H/S and The ABC's of Death being major contributors although none of them may have found as creative of a way to tie their stories together like what Argentinian duo Nicolas and Luciano Onetti has come up with. Using a radio host to tell ghost stories to his audience works on so many levels and it's also fun how the DJ, played by Joshua Long, gets caught up in a story of his own.

Each segment is unique within the overall narrative and there are plenty of scares, chills, and thrills from beginning to end. If you take a look at the movie's poster, you can see most of the demons, ghosts, and other assorted horror type villains that you will find throughout the series of segments. One of my favorites is a giddy, blood soaked demon who revels in the dastardly deeds he's created while a young girl goes from curiosity to terror.as she realizes what she's stumbled into.

I'm not going to break down each segment, you're just going to have to watch the movie for yourself and it really is worth it, especially for fans of the genre. There really is a lot to like and the radio DJ narrative that ties it all together leaves things open, of course, for more possibilities down the road. A Night of Horror: Nightmare Radio is tailor made for late night viewing bundled up on the couch with the lights out and a bucket of popcorn. Just make sure you have someone there to keep you safe!

A Night of Horror: Nightmare Radio is an official selection of the 2019 Brooklyn Horror Film Festival.
