The Review:
While watching the trailer for this movie, my first thought is that it looks like Heat. My second thought is that I really enjoy Gerard Butler in action movies. I have seen other comparisons to Heat although the only real similarity is that it is about bank robbers and the law men who try to take them down. Outside of that, there isn't much of a story although there really doesn't need to be. Butler's character has some marital issues because of course he does although it doesn't really affect the story at all other than to emphasize how much of a tough guy he is.

The amount of bullets used in this movie is pretty impressive although they don't go full on 80's style action movie with a never ending supply of ammunition and the creative team also stays away from going over the top, Fast and Furious style with the action. Overall, it's a pretty grounded and entertaining story if not overly predictable and lacking in originality. Sometimes you just want to watch people shoot at each other over large sums of money and there's really nothing wrong with that. The key here is to just to it back and bask in the glory of yet another Gerard Butler action movie that critics will hate but fans will enjoy.
