Suicide Squad - Movie Review


Suicide Squad, directed by David Ayer, is the latest installment from the DC Comics Cinematic Universe and features a collection of super powered villains who are forced to work together by taking on missions that are doomed to fail. The blockbuster film features performances by Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Viola Davis, Jared Leto, Jai Courtney, Cara Delevingne, Joel Kinnaman, Karen Fukuhara, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje.

Robocop (2014) - Movie Review


MGM and Columbia Pictures has brought back a cult classic science fiction character in hopes of creating another blockbuster franchise and, thanks to director José Padilha, Robocop looks primed and ready to blow through the competition. The movie stars Michael Keaton, Gary Oldman, Abbie Cornish, Jackie Earle Haley, Samuel L. Jackson, and Jay Baruchel while Joel Kinnaman takes on the title role.

Lola Versus - Movie Review


"Lola Versus" is a very well written and perfectly cast story about a young woman who's life suddenly falls apart just as she thinks it may have reached perfection. From this point forward we see the not so young 20-something struggle to come to terms with love, friendship, family, and most importantly herself.

Safe House - Movie Review


There are two things you can count on when Denzel Washington is in a movie. The first is that he will be the coolest person on the screen at all times and the other is that it will be a movie worth watching. Both are absolutely true with this movie and on top of that, Ryan Reynolds gives a gritty performance that I honestly didn't think he was capable of.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011) - Movie Review


There are many devoted fans of the highly acclaimed novels written by Swedish author Stiegg Larsson and there is also a strong following for the original film adaptations that also came out of Sweden (myself included), so creating another version for U.S. audiences with mainstream Hollywood actors would have high expectations and would also be looked at with a fair amount of skepticism.
