SIFF is Coming


Since 2012, TwoOhSix.com has been providing coverage of the Seattle International Film Festival and this year will be no different. The festival kicks off with opening night gala on May 19th and runs through June 12th and the closing night festivities. The Huntsman: Winter's War - Movie Review


The Huntsman: Winter's War takes movie goers back to events that took place prior to Snow White and the Huntsman as we see where both the Huntsman and the evil Ravenna first came to prominence. The movie sees the return of Chris Hemsworth in the title role along with Charlize Theron, Emily Blunt, Jessica Chastain, Nick Frost, Rob Brydon, Sheridan Smith, Alexandra Roach, and Sam Claflin.

Tokyo Drifter - Northwest Film Forum's Seijun Suzuki Retrospective



Recently, I had a chance to see Seijun Suzuki's classic stylized thriller Tokyo Drifter at Seattle's Northwest Film Forum as they prepared to show this and other films directed by Mr. Suzuki as part of a Seijun Suzuki Retrospective film series. You can see Tokyo Drifter at the Northwest Film Form's Capitol Hill theaters on Wednesday May 4th at 7:30pm.

Demoliton is a film by Jean-Marc Vallée whose previous work includes Wild and Dallas Buyers Club, both of which were nominated for many awards. This movie about a man who needs to tear his life apart before recovering from his wife's sudden death features acting performances from Jake Gyllenhaal, Naomi Watts, Chris Cooper, Judah Lewis, C.J. Wilson, and Polly Draper.

The Jungle Book (2016) - Movie Review


The Jungle Book, directed by Jon Favreau, is a live action and CGI re-imagining of the classic tale about Mowgli, a young boy raised by animals in the jungle. The film features voice work by Bill Murray, Scarlett Johannson, Idris Elba, Ben Kinglsey, Lupita Nyong'o, Giancarlo Esposito, Christopher Walken, Garry Shandling, and Neel Sethi in a live action role as Mowgli.

2016 Emerald City Comicon: Day Four - ECCC Coverage


The final day of the Emerald City Comicon is always a mixed bag of emotions as attendees are tired, excited, happy to be there, and sad that it's almost over, all at the same time. For me, this was a day to get photos, talk to vendors, and make a few purchases before the doors closed and another year of fun would come to an end.

2016 Emerald City Comicon: Day Three - ECCC Coverage


My schedule for day three of the 2016 Emerald City Comicon was a little less hectic allowed for more time to just roam around so I could focus on absorbing all the fun happening all around me. This is also the busiest day so navigating traffic, lines, and panel scheduling also becomes more of a concern than any other day and your ability plan and pace yourself really comes into play in helping to make it a success.

Hardcore Henry is a first person perspective action film, written and directed by Ilya Naishuller, that follows the exploits of a man named Henry who has no memory of who he is yet must find a way to stop a maniacal warlord from creating an army of bio engineered soldiers. The movie stars Sharlto Copley, Tim Rpth, Haley Bennett, and Danila Koslovsky.

Emerald City Comicon: Dark Horse Comics News - ECCC Coverage


Dark Horse Comics revealed some pretty impressive news on Friday at the 2016 Emerald City Comicon. I had a chance to attend the "Dark Horse Comics and Twentieth Century Fox: A Relationship Spanning Universes" panel which featured a sneak peak and information about a project that will bring the two companies even closer together as a creative force in comics.

Image Comics is pleased to return to Seattle this year for Emerald City Comicon on Thursday, April 7 through Sunday, April 10. After their successful pre show event, Image Expo, these guys are primed and ready to go all out with some really cool panel discussions, exclusive variant comics, and tons of autograph appearances.

This year, the Emerald City Comicon has been expanded to four days so we can all have the chance to experience that much more fun and excitement at the Washington State Convention Center. Even though the hours for this added day are a bit shorter than the rest, there was still no shortage of panels, guests, cos players, exhibitors and artists to see and interact with.

Dark Horse Comics is once again headed to Emerald City Comicon and you can find them on the show floor at booth 802 to pick up free swag such as comics, buttons, and posters along with free autographs from their roster of artists and writers. Dark Horse Comics is also inviting attendees to stop by for a free picture in their "HappyMatic" Photo Booth. Finally, they will also have a variety of Dark Horse comics, graphic novels, art books, and collectibles for sale in our booth.
