The Seattle Cinerama will be screening each of this year's Best Picture Oscar contenders over the course of eight days beginning on Friday, February 13th. This is a great way to prepare yourself for Oscar glory as well as watch some pretty amazing movies at what I consider to be the single greatest movie theater in the world.
This year's Oscar nominees list includes American Sniper, Whiplash, Boyhood, The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Theory of Everything, Selma, Birdman, and The Imitation Game. Below, you will find links to my review for each of these movies by clicking the corresponding poster. Keep in mind, these are in no particular order and will give you now clues as to how I would rank them. Some I really liked, a few were okay, and a couple I didn't care for at all. While reading my reviews will give you a good idea of what I feel about each film, I would encourage you to see them all so you can decide for yourself.
So, how many of these Best Picture nominated films do you plan on seeing at the Cinerama? My suggestion would be to see them all just so you take advantage of the opportunity to go to the Cinerama eight times!
Purchase tickets now at Cinerama.com, or at the theater box office.
Also be sure to check out my year end recap (Coming Soon!) to find out which of these movies may have made my own personal favorites list and which ones missed the cut. At least one of these may actually end up on my "Biggest Disappointments" list!
