Marvel's Avengers at Comicon

Marvel Studios always seems to know how to create a crowd pleasing product and their appearance in the famous Hall H at this year's San Diego Comic Convention was certainly no exception. Comicon is always a time for studious to make a big splash with their upcoming movies and Avengers: Age of Ultron is at or near the top of everyone's list of newsworthy titles.

During the Avengers presentation, most of the cast was brought out to say a few words to the fans and give their input on what it's like working on what is certain to be one of the biggest movies ever made. In the videos below, you will see Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Samuel Jackson, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Cobie Smulders, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, and James Spader. Unfortunately, we did not get to see Scarlett Johansson most likely due to the fact that she has a baby on the way.

What I thought was very interesting about this was the direct contrast to DC's presentation of their new movie which features Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman among other characters from their roster of super powered heroes and villains. After showing a brief teaser that featured Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill in costume and staring at each other for a few moments, they brought out the two actors along with Gal Gadot, who is playing Wonder Woman, to smile and wave at the crowd before sending them right back off the stage.

Not one word to the fans from these most important of figures for DC and the future of their product. In contrast to that, here is what fans saw from Marvel:

Seeing Robert Downey Jr. do his thing is so awesome and you can tell he has a big impact on the rest of the cast in bringing a sense of fun and positive energy to what they do. If that first video wasn't super fun and awesome enough, then check out how they finish off the panel!

Avengers: Age of Ultron is being written and directed by Joss Whedon and will be released in theaters on May 1st, 2015.
